To further enhance the innovative development level of lymphatic microsurgery and promote the standardized implementation of the internationally leading dcLVA (deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis) surgery for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, our hospital, in collaboration with Beijing Tiantan Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University and Zhejiang People's Hospital, successfully held the Second Academic Forum on Lymphatic Surgery and dcLVA Treatment for Alzheimer's Disease, the WORKSHOP, as well as the training and assessment for the multi-center research project (CLEAN-AD) on treating Alzheimer's disease with deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis from March 26th to April 4th.

The activity aims to promote the progress of lymphatic surgery and LVA (lymphatic-venous anastomosis) in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD), standardize the LVA surgical procedures, facilitate academic exchanges and technical promotion, and launch the multi-center research project (CLEAN-AD) on treating Alzheimer's disease with deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis, which is led by Beijing Tiantan Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University and Hangzhou Qiushi Hospital.

Experts and professors from all over the world, including Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong, as well as Professor Hou Chunlin and Professor Gu Liqiang, former chairmen of the Microsurgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Professor Cui Shusen, the incoming chairman, and more than 200 related medical backbone personnel from over 100 Class III Grade A hospitals and other institutions across the country participated in the conference. The team led by Professor Xie Qingping of our hospital demonstrated the entire MDT (Multi-disciplinary Team) process of deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis and conducted a live broadcast demonstration of the LVA surgery. Professor Xie Qingping, Professor Zhang Yixin, Professor Yang Xiaodong, Professor Seki, Professor Zheng Xiaoju, Professor Xiao Ming, Professor Liu Yaping, Professor Ding Xiaoheng, Professor Zhou Zhegang, Professor Zhang Jing, Professor Wang Xin, Professor Liu Jun, Professor Lu Hongrui, and Professor Wang Haiwen respectively made relevant academic sharing and teachings.

On March 28th, the participating experts also held a special seminar on the Opinions of Clinical Exploration of Deep Cervical Microsurgical Intervention with dcLVA+ for the Treatment of Senile Functional Cognitive Impairment. Professor Hou Chunlin, Professor Gu Liqiang, Professor Mu Guangtai, Professor Cui Shusen, Professor Xie Qingping, Professor Mu Lan, Professor Hou Jianxi, Professor Ding Xiaoheng, Professor Liu Yaping, Professor Kou Wei, Professor Pan Jiadong, Professor Wu Jianlong, etc. participated in the discussion and put forward relevant exploratory opinions.

On March 30th, Beijing Tiantan Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University and Hangzhou Qiushi Hospital organized relevant medical staff from candidate research sub-centers across the country to conduct an explanation of the multi-center research project (CLEAN-AD) on treating Alzheimer's disease with deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis. They introduced unified and standardized research steps such as the multi-center research plan, research imaging examination, collection and processing of research biological samples, filling and uploading of research data, and research cognitive assessment methods, and carried out professional training and assessment.

From March 31st to April 4th, representatives of surgeons from each candidate research sub-center participated in the training and assessment of embryo egg and rabbit neck LVA at Hangzhou Huagong Hospital. They watched the demonstration of the entire AD surgical process by Professor Xie Qingping and learned to improve their LVA microsurgical skills.

The training content was authentic, rich, cutting-edge and practical, leaving a deep impression on professors, doctors and trainees from all over the world. It has effectively promoted the popularization of new LVA microsurgical skills, and advanced the steady progress of the national multi-center research project (CLEAN-AD) on treating Alzheimer's disease with deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis. All parties have joined hands to create a leading Chinese solution in the global field of Alzheimer's disease treatment.
